Starbucks launched a new location between Park and Lexington avenues in New York City on Thursday – and it contains Amazon Go’s “Just Walk Out Shopping” experience. This technology enables you to purchase coffee, tea, and snacks and continue on your way without stopping at a cashier.
This concept store combines Amazon and Starbucks products, so you can simply stop in for a Starbucks beverage or use the Amazon Shopping App to enter the Amazon Go market and the store’s seating lounge. You can also use an “In-Store Code” or Amazon One — which allows you to use the palm of your hand as your identifier — to enter the Amazon Go market and the seating lounge. Entering the Amazon Go market will be similar to entering any other Amazon Go store, with the added ability to select snacks from the shelves and have them automatically put to your virtual shopping baskets.
